Woke up to a mild Florida morning, still attached to the anchor and having not dragged; it’s what we salty sailors call a good start to the day.

Chris took the dinghy in to shore to run some errands, including beefing up his fishing kit. I stayed behind on Halley and rigged up the sun shade sail cloth that I bought and had modified to fit the boat. I had a great yoga session on the deck in the shade of the cloth and give it thumbs up for sure. It can be tweaked to look better, but the shade it provides is super nice.

Then a long walk with Lucy who was giddy to be back on dry land. Chris in the meantime fixed the problem with the brake on the main sail furler, or at least thinks he did. We’ll test it out tomorrow on our way to Miami. Fingers crossed. Enough trouble with the main sail.

And, the final task of the day was a last big grocery shop before the Bahamas. We’ve already stocked up on dry goods, canned food and frozen stuff so this time it was to get fresh veggies. We have almost literally tons of food onboard now. No reason for grocery shopping in a good long while, other than some fresh stuff. Me likey.

We had dinner at Harborage marina to finish off the day. Got some fun pictures of boats decked out for the holidays - Christmas a la Florida.
