Arrival in Bimini, Bahamas

Arrival in Bimini, the western most island group of the Bahamas, around 9 in the morning. Hoisted the yellow quarantine flag and then leisurely circled around outside the north island until 11 am when the sun was high in the sky and we had a high tide; the former helpful to see coral heads and sand banks, the latter always a safe bet.

Then when we finally headed in and the waters got shallow, we were blown away by the turquoise color and clarity of the water. We’ve seen it in pictures and videos, but seeing it in person was amazing. Truly stunning.

Cleared into immigration and customs and then off to a delicious lunch and beer at the marina’s beach bar. We were very happy and proud to have made it without incident to the Bahamas. Long time talking, dreaming, planning and working the plan - here we are, pretty cool.

After lunch, back to the boat for one of the best naps ever. Then a beach walk with Lucy at sunset and an early night.
